Chase has recently started sending some users higher targeted card welcome bonuses. Chase official Pre-approved Offers:
So far, we’ve seen:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve: 175,000 UR
- Chase Sapphire Preferred: 125,000 UR
- Freedom Unlimited: $300
These are all YMMV and not public offers. If you were planning to apply for a Sapphire card lately, it’s worth first opening the Chase App → Explore Products → Credit Cards, or checking the Chase Pre-approved Offers page, instead of going straight through the public link.
In my view, the most noteworthy offers here are the CSR 175,000 and CSP 125,000, both clearly above the current public bonuses. Especially if you were already waiting on Sapphire and don’t want to disrupt your Chase application strategy, a targeted offer is definitely worth serious consideration.
However, pre-approved does not mean guaranteed approval, and there is no evidence that it can bypass the 5/24 rule or other bonus eligibility restrictions. Make sure to read the page terms carefully before applying.
In short: if you’re planning to apply for a Chase card soon, check for a targeted offer first; if you weren’t targeted, there’s no need to force a public offer.
