理论上来讲，Non-Resident Alien（NRA）不能网上开户，需要去实体店。不过有朋友实测 NRA 在线用 SSN 申请也通过了。

开商业 checking 比个人账户会稍微麻烦一点，但是如果没有继续审查其实跟个人的一样，也是可以秒过的。申请需要的信息有

  • Your SSN, personal address and phone number：申请商业账户也是需要个人信息的，为了验证身份用
  • Your business’s Taxpayer Identification Number (EIN, SSN, ITIN)：如果你有自己的商业信息当然填 EIN，你也可以作为 sole proprietorship，填写 SSN 申请
  • Name, email address and phone number for any additional owners with 25% or more ownership in the company：取决于你的股权结构，你要用 SSN 申的话就没有

如果你运气不好，是有可能被要求提供更多材料，或者打电话了解你的 business 的。如果你拿 SSN 用 sole proprietorship 申请的，你可以说一下你打算进行什么样的 business，卖二手啊，提供一些什么咨询服务之类的，一般都能说服他们。

报税相关

我的点评

这账户本身奖励就蛮不错的，第一档 $500 的存款要求也挺低。而且最重要的是这个账户可以用 AMEX 信用卡（也包括 Visa MASTER）在开户时候充值 $3,000，是一个完成开卡奖励的好方法。
